The Government of India had released a circular dated 30th May 2020 regarding the travel and visa restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 26th June 2020, the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) released a continuation of the mentioned circular. According to the notification, the international commercial flights scheduled to and from India remain suspended for another period of time. As per the notification, no international flight will depart from India or arrive in the country, until 11:59 pm on 15th July 2020.

However, this notification mentions some exceptions. All the cargo operations and the flights approved by DGCA will be working as usual during this period of time. There is a chance that the International flights could be approved for selected routes if the concerned authority from DGCA gives it a nod. Apart from that, the commercial international flights will still have to wait for the approval from the Government of India before commencing its operations.
