The government of India eased the policy to export Nitrile/NBR Gloves. It revised the HS code from “prohibited” to the “restricted” category. Indian govt. had banned their exports in June’20. With the new policy, exporters will be able to export the Nitrile/NBR Gloves gloves after getting a license from the government.

India exported $569.73 million worth of gloves in 2019-20.

DGFT had also removed the restriction on the export of N-95/FFP2 masks, making all kinds of masks freely exportable, this month earlier.

In February, The govt. of India had banned exports of many medical textiles including clothing and masks where there is a risk of contamination, amid the Covid-19 pandemic but it gradually removed the export restrictions on most personal protection equipment (PPE).
