India reported 10,126 new coronavirus cases on Monday, the lowest in 266 days. Meanwhile, the number of recoveries reached 3,37,75,086 with 11,982 new recover patients being reported in the last 24 hours, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The recovery rate has reached 98.25 percent. There are now 1,40,638 active coronavirus cases, the lowest in the last 263 days.

Vaccine doses have reached the 1.9 billion mark, so far with 59,08,440 doses being administered on Monday.

With the reports of the localized spread of the Covid-19 virus in some states/UTs, The Ministry of Home Affairs has extended Covid-19 containment measures across the country till November 30 to prevent any further spread. In an official communication to all states/UTs, Home Ministry issued a statement that existing protocols for curbing the increase in coronavirus cases will continue till November 30. States like Assam, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh have been witnessing a surge in fresh coronavirus cases after festivals.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has extended the travel and visa restrictions till 30th November 2021. DGCA has issued a circular with a partial modification in the circular dated 26-06-2020 for scheduled International commercial passenger services to/from India. International all-cargo operations and flights will not be affected approved by DGCA.
