In the November 13 edition of the Federal Register, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced a new set of Section 301 product exclusions on the third set of tariffs on Chinese goods. According to the notice, the “product exclusions announced in this notice will apply as of September 24, 2018, effective date of the $200 billion actions, to August 7, 2020.”

Products listed under the subheadings 8409.91.3000 and 8708.50.9500 are considered fully exempt and “34 specially prepared product descriptions, which cover 42 separate exclusion requests” are also exempt.
